Vandhoo Alifulhube

Ali Ibrahim, fondly known as Alifulhube, is a 65-year-old resident of Vandhoo in Thaa Atoll, a small island home to around 400 people. In his free time, Alifulhube enjoys developing his craftsmanship by learning through YouTube. Using the platform, he has taught himself to create a variety of beautiful and creative artifacts from coconut palm leaves, wood, and other materials that are freely available around him. During the SSTV crew’s recent visit to Thaa Atoll, we had the pleasure of meeting Alifulhube and witnessing his remarkable skills firsthand. We captured his work and creativity to share with you. Alifulhube is living proof that learning has no age limit and knowledge is just a click away.
