AFRO NOIR | Psychedelic Afro Grooves & Tribal Percussion from a Lost 1974 Road Movie | 1 Hour Mix

Afro noir from a lost 1974 road movie: psychedelic tribal grooves, talking drums, kora and balafon, and twangy spaghetti western guitars. Welcome to the ninth reel of Cine Exotica, soundtracks from films that were never made. Somewhere in Africa, 1974. A road movie that was shot, scored and then forgotten. Its soundtrack survived: layers of West African percussion, with djembe, dunun, talking drums, sabar and shekere, build a hypnotic polyrhythmic groove under shimmering kora and balafon, ngoni riffs, kalimba patterns and a haunting wooden flute. A lonely twangy guitar soaked in spring reverb and tape echo cuts through the heat haze. Picture a dusty red-earth road across the savanna at dusk, a lone jeep chased by a cloud of dust, and a village fire under a starry sky where the shadows keep dancing. Afro psych, African psychedelia, tribal grooves and vintage film score, blended into one earthy, hypnotic journey. Perfect for late nights, cocktail bars, lounges, creative work, road trips, or simply disappearing into another era. 🎬 Tracklist 00:00 - African Road Movie Groove 03:57 - Crime Scene Pursuit 08:10 - Dust Storm Cinematic Vibes 11:42 - Dusty Savanna Psychedelia 15:36 - Golden Hour Balafon 19:34 - Kora Dust Highway 23:37 - Midnight West African Beats 27:08 - Moonlit Savanna Groove 30:47 - Mystical Kora Reverie 34:41 - Nocturnal African Highway 38:29 - Polyrhythmic Trance State 42:13 - Red Soil Afro Psychedelia 45:51 - Road to Tribal Fire 50:21 - Sable Road Retro Cinema 54:40 - Talking Drums at Dusk 58:33 - Tribal Grooves Nocturnal 01:02:40 - Tribal Village Nocturne 01:06:40 - Village Kalimba Noir 01:10:20 - Vintage Film Reverb 01:13:58 - West African Percussion Dreams Earthy.
