X4 Foundations: 9.0 - Combat test for "pocket" paranid fleet, take 2

Hello everybody, After my initial test for the "pocket" paranid fleet, I thought it deserved a take 2, applying all that I've learned from the first one: one, don't send interceptors around capitals, as they will eat graviton turret fire and make no effort to avoid them second, order the destroyers to engage capitals, don't rely on the AI to move to the carrier position in a timely manner Observations: 1 xenon K gate ambush...passed, one Hyperion took dmg, but manageable second part of the test, engaging 4 xenon Ks...applying what we had learned, order the destroyer fleet leader to attack, the subordinates will do the rest. Suffered losses, 2 Odysseus in the first attack, another Odysseus when the second xenon taskforce attacked. This is another lesson....destroyers, especially CW ones NEED the dmg amplifier that are L tracking turrets with heavy missiles (the last heavy torpedoes remaining in the game) provide, the resoning being...need to takeout the Ks, before being taken out themselves, and L mass driver turrets are not suited for that...great for station demolition, not so great if the Ks are in L graviton turrets range. Conclusions: Sadly, my concept of a "pocket" paranid fleet is a bit of a failure. Resons: the wing of Hyperion is a bit helpless against fighters...not the AA defence amplifier I had hope it will be Odysseus with L mass driver turrets...great against stations, not great in close range vs xenon capitals At this stage, I don't see the point of testing xenon SPP station demolition with this fleet...no point to do station demolition, if I can't bring the fleet in "one piece" to the location. And so...I guess I will take my terran fleet to see how it will fare against the xenon SPP, from my previous clips.
