I grew this beautiful copper sulfate crystal over 6 months. It's a very common science experiment in schools and science fairs, but growing big, beautiful crystals can be tricky. The key is patience, let the solution evaporate slowly. The slower the crystals grow, the nicer they turn out. For a detailed guide on growing copper sulfate crystals, check out my son's blog post: https://crystalverse.com/best-way-to-... --- MATERIALS I bought my materials in Malaysia, but the items below are similar ones available on Amazon — they work just as well if you’d like to try this experiment yourself. • Copper sulfate: https://amzn.to/4ievj7b • 600 mL beaker: https://link.amazon/B0aTXGICt • 2000 mL beaker: https://link.amazon/B05G4Obkd • Electric burner: https://amzn.to/47MeHi8 • Plastic petri dish (90 × 15 mm): https://amzn.to/4r05jjS • Nylon fishing line (clear, 0.14 mm): https://amzn.to/3XlgZjo • Precision tweezers: https://amzn.to/47AS0yB • Ice pick: https://amzn.to/3XmbGAb • Digital scale: https://amzn.to/4olYTsy These are Amazon affiliate links — I may earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no extra cost to you.
