What exactly is time? We measure it with clocks. We organize our lives around it. We watch it pass, lose it, waste it, and wish we could go back. But what if time isn’t quite what we think it is? In this video, we explore one of the oldest and strangest questions humanity has ever asked: *what is time?* From the philosophical ideas of Heraclitus and Saint Augustine to Newton’s absolute time, from Bergson’s distinction between lived time and measured time to Einstein’s theory of relativity — our understanding of time has changed dramatically. We’ll look at the experiments and ideas that challenged our intuition, discover why time can pass differently for different observers, and explore what physics and philosophy can — and perhaps cannot — tell us about the nature of time. Is time something that exists independently of us? Is the present a real thing? Does the past still exist? And why does time seem to move in only one direction? Maybe the strangest thing about time is that the more we learn about it, the less obvious it becomes. So… what is time? If you enjoyed this video, consider subscribing to **Never Lost Again**. Less feeling lost. #WhatIsTime #Time #Philosophy #Physics #Einstein #TheoryOfRelativity #Science #PhilosophyOfTime #Cosmology #scienceexplained what is time, what is time explained, time explained, philosophy of time, physics of time, theory of relativity, Einstein relativity, Einstein theory of relativity, time and space, spacetime, space time explained, Newton time, Newton absolute time, classical mechanics, Heraclitus, Saint Augustine time, Augustine philosophy, Bergson time, Henri Bergson, philosophy explained, physics explained, science explained, cosmology explained, universe, nature of time, concept of time, past present future, does time exist, is time real, what is the present, arrow of time, time dilation, relativity explained, science documentary, philosophy documentary, educational video, educational entertainment, deep questions, big questions, philosophical questions
