Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān حفظه الله discusses the influence of Western ideas on contemporary views concerning women and explains how some people seek to remove the distinctions that Islam has established between men and women. He addresses demands for equality in matters such as inheritance, blood money, testimony, and other rulings, as well as opposition to the Islamic ruling of ḥijāb. He also warns against attempting to weaken, reinterpret, or divert the meanings of the evidences of the Sharīʿah in order to conform them to contemporary ideas. The Shaykh further explains that Allah has established distinctions between different groups, including between the believers and the disbelievers.
