Sligoville Shooting: Five Dead—But Where Is the Man Police Wanted?

Sligoville Shooting: Five Dead—But Where Is the Man Police Wanted? What happened during the Sligoville shooting on October 16, 2026? Two police officers and three men died following a standoff in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Police and a relative of the men gave conflicting accounts of the attempted surrender. This Yaad Files documentary examines the reported timeline, the deaths of Corporal Trevoy Shaw and Constable Devoney Rose, the injured child, and an 18-minute WhatsApp recording described by the Jamaica Observer. We distinguish police statements, family allegations, and reported evidence—and explain the questions facing investigators. The recording does not capture the entire incident or establish who fired every shot. Watch our Vybz Kartel documentary next, and subscribe to Yaad Files for more Jamaican case breakdowns. #sligoville #jamaica #yaadfiles
