The dynamic coupling between the pulse wake mixing strategy and floating wind turbines

Nearly 80% of the available wind energy resources in Europe are currently inaccessible. Floating wind turbines play a key role in enabling access to these wind energy resources. In the new paper of Daniel van den Berg, Delphine De Tavernier and Jan-Willem Van Wingerden, they discuss how the extra degrees of freedom of a floating wind turbine play an important role when transitioning wake mixing technology, like dynamic induction control, from bottom-fixed to floating turbines. This work, however, encompasses only a small portion of the potential for floating wind turbines.
