Formed in Wilmington, North Carolina by bassist and vocalist Dave "Dixie" Collins and guitarist Dave "Shep" Shepherd, the band had already released influential albums including ...And Justice for Y'all, Sixteen Tons, God Luck and Good Speed, and Jason... The Dragon. This performance features drummer Travis Owen, who joined Weedeater following the departure of original drummer Keith "Keko" Kirkum and would later record the band's 2015 album Goliathan. Their relentless touring schedule and uncompromising live performances earned them a devoted following, and this performance captures the band during one of the strongest periods of their career. Since then, the band's lineup has continued to evolve, with Ramzi Ateyeh currently serving as Weedeater's drummer while Dixie Collins and Shep Shepherd remain the group's longtime driving force. 🏠 About Kung Fu Necktie Kung Fu Necktie continues to be one of Philadelphia's most beloved independent music venues.
