Run Through

Run Through came from the middle part of a run. Not the beginning, when you feel fresh. Not the end, when you know you are nearly home. The middle. The part where your lungs are burning, your legs feel heavy, and your mind starts offering you very reasonable excuses to stop. That is often where faith becomes real to me. This song is built around *Hebrews 12:1–2* — running with endurance and looking unto Jesus. Not looking at the hill. Not looking at the pain. Not letting tiredness become lord over the moment. Because the hill does not always move. The tiredness does not always vanish. The hard part is still hard. But Christ is there. That is the heart of this track. It is Christian dubstep, but for me it is also a prayer, a sermon to myself, and something to run with when I need truth to be louder than the voice telling me to stop.
