Episode 13: The Underrated CZ P-09 F Nocturne

The internet seems to have mixed feelings about the CZ P-09 F Nocturne. So naturally, I bought one and took it straight into competition. In Episode 13 of Competitive Mediocrity, we give the Ruger RXM a proper send-off after roughly 3,500 rounds, then meet its replacement: the CZ P-09 F Nocturne — otherwise known around here as the “Shadow 2 at Home.” We talk ergonomics, recoil, the controversial DA/SA trigger, the direct-mount optic setup, reliability, and my first impressions after putting roughly 300 rounds through the pistol. But this isn't a tabletop review channel. The timer gets the final vote. So we take the P-09 F into an Action Steel match with an occluded red dot, a double-action first shot, and absolutely no excuses left for missing. The CZ ran flawlessly. The shooter... remains a work in progress. But hey — 15th from the bottom. WE ARE EVOLVING. If you enjoy budget-friendly competition shooting, questionable equipment choices, honest reviews, match footage, and watching an average shooter slowly become slightly less average, consider subscribing.
