“Prospects for Democracy and Pluralism in Central Asia: Lessons from the Kyrgyz Republic” - Keynote speaker Roza Otunbayeva, former president of Kyrgyzstan, delivered the Global Centre for Pluralism’s inaugural Annual Lecture on May 28, 2012. She spoke of the 2010 uprising that precipitated Kyrgyzstan’s democratic transition, of the progress the country has made in navigating its ethnic diversity and challenges that remain.
