How to access and clean part of the inside of a Vintage Sweet Sue Walking Doll Part 1 #restoration

In this video we are repairing a vintage American Character Sweet Sue Alice walking doll from the 1950’s. She is a mint doll lovingly kept for many years but even these dolls can have their threads and fabrics deteriorate after 70+ years. She came to have her wig repaired but we decided to clean what we could on the inside of her since it is possible to remove her head to access her walking mechanism. This is the first of 2 parts, and in next weeks video I show how to repair her wig. Then she ready for her trip back to her owner. At our channel @DIYDollArtist we repair and restore broken, sometimes dirty, neglected dolls and toys. We want to teach you some of the techniques so that you can repair your doll, and have confidence doing it. The restoration of these vintage dolls can come in many different ways, some we find at shops, some are found and given to us to restore, and some just need a little love. Here are some links from our channel @DIYDollArtist and some of the products we used to restore this vintage hard plastic doll.
