Hindi ko na matutupad yung US dream ko at 40… For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of seeing America for myself—not just through movies, pictures, or stories, but actually being there. So when I finally decided to apply for a US tourist visa, I took the process seriously. I prepared my DS-160, went through my biometrics appointment, gathered my documents, researched the US visa interview process, practiced answering questions, and did everything I could to prepare for my US visa interview in the Philippines. I thought I was ready. I thought this might finally be the year I could give myself the 40th birthday gift I had dreamed about for so long. Then came the interview. And I was handed a blue slip. US VISA DENIED. In this video, I’m sharing my US visa application journey, from preparing for the application and interview, to what happened at the US Embassy, how I felt after receiving the refusal, and what I’m choosing to do next. Because sometimes, you can prepare your heart, your documents, your answers, and your plans… …and still hear NO.
