Take Me Home Jesus

Take Me Home Jesus Verse 1 I've seen the seasons come and go, The planting and the reaping, I've watched the young ones start to grow, And laid the old ones sleeping. This world has lost its hold on me, Its treasures fade to ashes, My heart is set on what I'll see When this last shadow passes. Chorus Take me home, Jesus, Take me home, I've been a pilgrim here so long, And I'm longing for my own. When You're ready, Lord, I'm ready, Lead me to Your throne, In Your time and by Your grace, Take me home. Verse 2 I'm not complaining of the road, You've carried me each mile, You've shared the weight of every load, And kept me all the while. But I can hear the harps of gold Across the Jordan ringing, And I long to join the saints of old In everlasting singing. (Chorus) Take me home, Jesus, Take me home, I've been a pilgrim here so long, And I'm longing for my own. When You're ready, Lord, I'm ready, Lead me to Your throne, In Your time and by Your grace, Take me home. Bridge Not my will, but Yours be done, My days are in Your hand, Every hour is numbered, Lord, According to Your plan. But until that trumpet sounds, Or You call me by my name, I'll keep on walking faithfully, And praising all the same. Verse 3 So when my labor here is through, And my work on earth is ended, I'll lay my burden down for You On the soul You have defended. I'll see the face I've never seen But loved through all my days, And I'll spend a thousand ages then Just giving You the praise. Final Chorus Take me home, Jesus, Take me home, I've been a pilgrim here so long, And I'm longing for my own. When You're ready, Lord, I'm ready, Lead me to Your throne, In Your time and by Your grace, Take me home. Tag Come, Lord Jesus… Take me home.
