BLACK HOLLOW MOUNTAIN | A Devilishly Good Appalachian Fiddle Song | WHAINT Radio Special for E27

Five knocks on your door. Better leave it alone. Deep in the mountains of West Virginia, there’s an old mining town where folks know better than to answer a knock after dark. They say something lives beneath Black Hollow Mountain. Something older than the mines themselves. Something that doesn’t always stay underground. And if you hear five knocks… Well, you might want to leave that door shut. Tonight, we’re bringing you a little mountain music ahead of our next broadcast. A foot-stomping, fiddle-burning Appalachian folk song inspired by the dark legends of Black Hollow Mountain. But this is only the beginning. COMING NEXT: THE MIDNIGHT HOLLER — BROADCAST 027 THE SPECTER OF BLACK HOLLOW MOUNTAIN October, 1964. A coal mine collapses in the mountains of West Virginia, trapping eleven men underground. Five days later, one of those miners comes home alive. His wife calls it a miracle. His seven-year-old son says Daddy brought a friend home. And every night, something comes knocking.
