The king picks the first map, after that it alternates between the players. A map cannot be picked twice. In case of a 4-4 score , a best of 3 mirrors will be played as decider (gla, usa, china). The king will pick the first map (that hasn't been picked from the map pool yet) and first mirror (he can choose from a gla mirror, usa mirror, or china mirror) The Challenger will pick the map and mirror for the second mirror, both of which are not picked yet. In case of a 1-1 in mirrors (5-5 overall), the King will pick the last map. The mirror will be the one that was not played.
