Teaching the Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent (CESA) is more than demonstrating the skill—it also requires good organization, positioning, supervision, and control of the training environment. Performance Requirement: Simulate a controlled emergency swimming ascent by swimming horizontally or diagonally for at least 9 metres/30 feet while emitting a continuous sound. In this professional development video, we break down how to set up and teach the CESA in confined water, with a focus on instructor positioning, student organization, and creating an effective setup for meeting the performance requirement. We cover: • How to set up the CESA and establish the required distance • Using a line or reel to ensure the proper distance is covered • Organizing active and non-active students • Positioning yourself relative to the student performing the skill • Maintaining appropriate contact and supervision during the exercise • Monitoring the student's continuous sound/exhalation • Bringing the setup, positioning, demonstration, and student organization together The goal is not simply to demonstrate a CESA. It's to look at the small details that can help instructors create a more organized and controlled learning environment while giving students the opportunity to successfully meet the performance requirement. This video is intended for scuba instructors, Divemasters, instructor candidates, and dive professionals interested in continuing to develop their teaching, organization, and in-water supervision skills. ▶️ Check out our Professional Dive Training playlist for more instructor and Divemaster development videos.    • Professional Dive Training - Demonstration...   Your Dive Concierge Dive Outside the Box #ScubaInstructor #CESA #ScubaTraining #DiveProfessional #ScubaDiving 👉 Subscribe for dive tips, training insights, and adaptive diving stories. 🌐 Learn more or get involved: https://www.yourdiveconcierge.com/ #ScubaDiving #AdaptiveDiving #DiveTraining #Diveheart #DiveMentor #ScubaCoach #YourDiveConcierge #UnderwaterAdventure #RecreationalDiving #ProfessionalDiving 📲 Follow us on Instagram & Facebook:   / yourdiveconcierge     / urdiveconcierge     / yourdiveconcierge     / your-dive-concierge   Scuba Guru Academy Affiliate Link: https://www.scubaguruacademy.com/?aff...
