Flower Carpet 2026. Brussels, Belgium. 13 August 2026. The Flower Carpet is a biennial flower carpet in Brussels in which volunteers from around Belgium convene at the Grand-Place/Grote Markt, the historic centre of the city, to weave a carpet-like tapestry out of colourful begonias or dahlias. The event takes place every other August, coordinating with Assumption Day, and lasts for three to four days. A different theme is chosen for each edition. In 2026, the carpet depicted The Great Wave off Kanagawa to commemorate 160 years of diplomatic relations and friendship between Belgium and Japan. Subscribe:    / @dullwalk
