Is Scrapping Copper Still Worth It in 2026?

Is scrapping copper still worth it in 2026? 💰 Copper and brass are part of everyday life in the plumbing trade. But when the job’s finished and the scrap starts piling up, one question remains: is it actually worth the time and effort to process it? In this video, I’m taking you behind the scenes to show you how I sort and process my scrap copper and brass, what goes into preparing it, and why making the most of your scrap is something worth considering as a tradie. After 15 years in the plumbing industry, I’ve learned that sometimes the value isn’t just in what you earn. It’s also in understanding your materials, respecting your trade, and making the most of what you’ve already got. Whether you’re a plumber, apprentice, tradie, or simply curious about scrap metal, come along for a look at the process. 💬 Let me know in the comments: Are you still scrapping copper in 2026, and do you reckon it’s worth it? If you’re new here, welcome to BTP Beyond the Plumbing. This channel is about plumbing, practical skills, work ethic, personal growth, and the lessons we pick up along the way. Come for the plumbing.
