BLIZZARD ACTUALLY COOKED?! WOW CLASSIC+ IS FINALLY REAL

BlizzCon 2026 actually surprised me. World of Warcraft: Forever is finally real — Blizzard's answer to the Classic+ idea WoW players have been asking for for years. But that wasn't the only surprise: Warcraft III is getting new content, Heroes of the Storm somehow came back to life, Diablo V was announced, and StarCraft is returning as an open-world shooter. This isn't an “everything announced at BlizzCon” news recap. These are my honest impressions after watching the show live — what actually excited me, what I don't really care about, why I think modern WoW lost a lot of what made MMORPGs special, and why WoW Forever might be exactly what Classic players have been waiting for.
