University is about more than choosing a program. It's about finding your community, discovering your potential, and meeting the people who help shape your future. For Bronwen Petch, a double-major student in Psychology and Leadership Studies at Western University's Faculty of Social Science, the journey has been about finding opportunities to grow both inside and outside the classroom. After being a Brushes student and transitioning into Social Science, Bronwen found a faculty that stood out for its strong academic programs, supportive staff, and opportunities to get involved in student leadership. One person who has made a lasting impression on her is Dr. Jennifer Sutton from the Department of Psychology. Through conversations about women's leadership opportunities and valuable career advice, Dr. Sutton has helped Bronwen look beyond the classroom and think about her future in the workforce. For Bronwen, these experiences are an important reminder that some of the most meaningful parts of university happen through the connections we make and the people who encourage us along the way. Her advice to future students? Trust the process. Even when things seem to be moving slowly, more can be happening than you realize. Take the time to appreciate the experience, embrace new opportunities, and make the most of every day. 🎓 Thinking about studying Psychology, Leadership Studies, or another Social Science program at Western? Discover a community where you can explore your interests, learn from inspiring professors, build connections, and find opportunities to grow. Your university journey is your own. Give yourself the time and space to enjoy it. #WesternUniversity #SocialScience #Psychology #LeadershipStudies #WesternU
