Standing at 2,503 metres, Rysy is the highest mountain in Poland. Known for its brutal elevation gain and exposed ridges, it’s anything but a walk in the park. Join me as I take on leg-ruining inclines and chains bolted into cliff faces, overlooking drops that make you question why you’re there to begin with. But at the summit - the rooftop of Poland - you’re rewarded with epic views stretching deep into Slovakia. Dawaj. For anyone considering going for it: 🏔️ Hike Stats: • 🗻 Peak: Rysy, 2,503 metres (Poland’s highest) • 🥾 Route: Morskie Oko — Czarny Staw — Rysy summit • ⏱ Duration: 8–10 hours round trip • ⛰️ Elevation gain: ~1,200+ metres • 🧭 Starting point: Palenica trailhead near Morskie Oko (Entry to national park) • 🧗‍♂️ Difficulty: Hard (steep inclines, chains, exposure) 📱 Subscribe for more no-bullshit travel. I am currently overlanding Africa, passing through places that would definitely have your mum worrying.
