Someone actually moved into our abandoned house in Japan… Want to check out the LiTime battery we're using during the renovation? Check it out here: https://litime.pxf.io/bkKQWg. Use code: LLOYDANDMANDY10 for 10% off. After 4½ years of travelling the world searching for somewhere to call home, we bought two abandoned houses in rural Japan for just $22,000. Now our friend Joel has flown to Japan to join us and help turn this place into a home. Joel and I have been friends for more than 12 years, after meeting while working on oil rigs in Australia. He's also a carpenter and has years of renovation experience — something we're definitely going to need! With Joel here, we finally have an extra set of hands and can start tackling some of the biggest jobs in the house. We head to the hardware store, start ripping up the floors and uncover some unexpected problems, completely gut the old bathroom, remove the old boiler, deal with termite damage and start rebuilding the structure underneath the house. We're also trying to find electricians and plumbers in rural Japan, source materials, figure out how to get everything delivered and prepare the house for its first winter. It's easily the biggest week of progress we've made since buying the house, and for the first time we're starting to see what this abandoned Japanese farmhouse could become. Thanks for watching ❤️ 📖 Want to know how we bought an abandoned house in Japan? Check out our Japan Abandoned House Guide: https://www.lloydandmandy.com/product...
