Welcome to this educational video series on peripheral neuroanatomy. Dr. Deborah Setter is a neurologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota who developed these videos. The Foundational videos focus on the core muscles and nerves assessed in a standard neurological examination. The Intermediate videos expand on this information and are especially helpful for interpreting electromyography (EMG) reports. The Advanced videos provide a comprehensive level of information of peripheral neuroanatomy. In these videos, we first draw a diagram of the neuroanatomy so you have a roadmap to visualize the pathways. Next, we write out a table together to organize the information. Last, we demonstrate the neuroanatomy in the context of a neurological examination and offer suggestions on how to skillfully perform the exam. Demonstrated in this video: Trapezius, serratus anterior, supraspinatus, latissimus dorsi, teres major, infraspinatus, pectoralis major & minor, pronator teres, supinator, extensor pollicis longus, extensor pollicis brevis, abductor pollicis brevis, abductor pollicis longus, flexor pollicis longus, flexor pollicis brevis, adductor pollicis, flexor digiti minimi. 00:00 Intro 00:18 Draw neuroanatomy diagram 08:19 Write out a table 17:05 Neuromuscular exam demo From Mayo Clinic to your inbox, sign-up for free: https://mayocl.in/3e71zfi Visit Mayo Clinic: https://mayocl.in/2COVmlm Like Mayo Clinic on Facebook:   / mayoclinic   Follow Mayo Clinic on Instagram:   / mayoclinic   Follow Mayo Clinic on Twitter:   / mayoclinic
