मुस्लिम बहुल देश अजरबैजान में स्कूलों में हिजाब पहनने को लेकर विवाद शुरू हो गया है। सरकार ने स्कूलों के ड्रेस कोड में बदलाव किया है। नए नियमों के तहत ऐसे कपड़े पहनने पर रोक लगाई गई है, जिन्हें सरकार धर्मनिरपेक्षता के खिलाफ मानती है। इसके बाद हिजाब पहनकर स्कूल पहुंचीं कुछ छात्राओं और शिक्षकों को कक्षाओं में जाने से रोक दिया गया। फैसले के विरोध में छात्राओं ने कक्षाओं का बहिष्कार किया और प्रदर्शन शुरू हो गए हैं। इस फैसले का विरोध पड़ोसी देश तुर्किये तक पहुंच गया है। अजरबैजान की करीब 96% आबादी मुस्लिम है। A controversy has erupted in Azerbaijan, a Muslim-majority country, over the wearing of the hijab in schools. The government has revised the school dress code, banning attire that it deems contrary to secular principles. Following this, some students and teachers arriving at school wearing the hijab were barred from entering classrooms. In protest against the decision, students have boycotted classes, and demonstrations have begun. Opposition to the move has even spread to the neighboring country of Türkiye.
