AUTEC AES-425 || Clipper Car Wash: State Street Site

Here is a car wash that I went by a few years ago and I always wanted to visit it, but didn’t have the time! Finally, I got to visit it today. Located in a busy intersection, this car wash has many vacuum stations and 2 automatic washes. One bay is touch free and has a Belanger Vector Rapid Wash (3rd Gen) and the other bay is soft touch and has a very nice AUTEC AES-425 system. Both bays used to be touch free, but when the Storey Ave location installed a Belanger SpinLite tunnel in place of one of the AUTEC units, they needed to take out the other AUTEC so they can put in the chemical room, so they did that and they moved the AUTEC to this location so that they can give customers a choice of either a soft touch or a Touch Free wash. When they removed the Vector for this machine, they only kept the AirCannon dryers and the dryer timer. What is unique about this AUTEC is that not only that it has the virtual treadle, but there is a gigantic mirror above the dryers to help customers guide into the wash without driving over the rails. The AUTEC at the Storey Ave location also had one, but they removed it when it got replaced with the SpinLite tunnel. I also forgot to mention that both sites used to use Simoniz chemicals, but they have now switched to Diamond Shine. And the pay stations give free vacuum tokens with every wash purchase, regardless what package the customer chooses. The wash shown in this video was the $17 Ultimate Wash with the $3 Bug Buster upgrade. So it came to a $20 wash which included: *Soft Touch Wash *Spot Free Rinse *Foam Bath *Turbo Dry *Under Wash/Side Blasters *Clear Coat Protectant *Bug Buster ($3 Upgrade) *Triple Foam *Wheel Cleaner *Carnauba Hot Wax (FlashWax) Wash Quality: much better then the one in Kentucky! The triple foam coverage was better, the machine did a DOUBLE PASS of the FlashWax and the dryers were much better! Overall, I’d highly recommend checking this wash out to anyone who is in the Newburyport area! And yes, I did film the Vector here along with the washes at the Storey Ave location.
