"This year, the programme of the Ravenna Festival was dedicated to the Kurdish politician Havrin Khalaf, assassinated during the Turkish state attacks in Syria, and to Khalid El Esaad, killed by ISIS in Palmira. The concert of Orchestra Giovanile Luigi Cherubini and Syrian Expat Philharmonic Orchestra - SEPO, was conducted by the conductor RiccardoMuti. On July 5, Riccardo Muti gave a very good speech on stage, about the wars in Syria, in the #Rojava and all over the world. Art is a powerful weapon to oppose war. The Kurdish artist Aynur Doğan and Sinan Cem Eroğlu on stage, and my performance "Ishtar" at the temple of Paestum. Elettra Stamboulis, my beloved curator, was the curator of the performance.
