Gong is so popular in Cordillera ,it is our main music instrument during special occations. Playing the gong For Cordillera (igorot) culture ,gong is exclusively play only during special ocations like in weddings,thanks giving(example:great crops for farmers,houseblessing,long life ),rituals for sick person,during town festivals(fiesta) Wedding_after the civil or church solemnization .at the place venue ,people(family member ,relatives ,friends and visitor) gathered will play dance wth the gong music. In Cordillera ,each town have their way of strucking/beating the gong that produce different music like for example is the TAKONAK,TAYAW(EAGLE DANCE),CHINAYAP and etc. While playing the gong by group of peope will be always accompanied by dancer or dancers .the movement is mostly concentrate on the foot and hand movement while dancing.
