Skopje Part 2: Alexander Square, City Trade Centre & Old Railway Station!

Day two in Skopje, North Macedonia, and we are diving into the city's unique modern history, grand monuments, and iconic architecture! ​We kick off the morning with a traditional Balkan breakfast and a stroll through town before heading straight to Macedonia Square (Plostad Makedonija) to see the colossal Alexander the Great monument (Warrior on a Horse). Next, we check out the City Trade Centre (Gradski Trgovski Centar / GTC), an iconic modernist and brutalist open-air complex built in the 1970s.
