Skateboarding Is Not a Crime (1992) This is the very first skateboard video I ever made back in 1992, featuring my buddies Paul Aguas, Rob Brown, and myself, Mario J. Rivera. Filmed around Lake Worth and Greenacres, Florida, with a lot of the footage shot in my old neighborhood, Chalet IV. Back then, whenever the waves were flat, we'd grab our skateboards and spend the day skating around the neighborhood, filming each other, and just f*cking around. I shot everything on a VHS camcorder and edited the entire video the old-school way, hooking the camcorder up to a VCR and piecing everything together using play, record, and pause. No computers, no editing software, just figuring it out as I went. Looking back, it's pretty cool to see where my love for skateboarding, filming, and video editing all started. Just a bunch of kids having fun in the early '90s, making memories without even realizing it. My first-ever skate video, straight from 1992!
