His father continued that growth, eventually reaching 1,000 cows before John returned from college and began leading the farm into its next chapter. Today, John is focused on growing the farm in a way that sets up future generations while creating better conditions for both the animals and the people who care for them. From investing in his management team to improving cow flow, comfort and safety, every part of the operation is built around making the farm better. The farm’s newest expansion brings deep-bedded sand stalls, improved airflow, cooling systems and automated sorting to support healthier, more comfortable cows. At the same time, John is focused on balancing productivity with environmental responsibility, carefully managing crops, manure and the land that sustains the herd.
