Deep into Antarctica | First ascent Expedition

In November 2024, an alpine expedition led by Christoph Höbenreich set out into the remote Wohlthat Mountains in Dronning Maud Land, East Antarctica. Equipped with Fjellpulken sleds and tents, the team spent three weeks self-supported on the ice, scaling unclimbed peaks and executing remarkable first ascents. Join me on the journey from the Schirmacher Oasis across the blue ice to the Novo Runway, flying onboard a ski-equipped Twin Otter into the heart of the mountains, and making a brief stop at the scientific outpost of Lake Untersee.
