The Dragon Dentist: An anime about more than just teeth

The Dragon Dentist looks like a cute story about oral hygiene, but it hides a surprisingly complex political narrative. On the surface, The Dragon Dentist follows Nonoko as she takes on her duties as a newly appointed dragon dentist. While the premise focuses on maintaining the health of a giant beast, the series quickly shifts into a deeper examination of how societies justify war and the weight of individual responsibility. This anime review explores the core themes of this fantasy anime, specifically looking at how characters accept their fated roles and the difficult choices they make when conflict arises. If you are looking for a political anime that challenges your perspective on duty and morality, this is a series worth your time. Let me know in the comments if you have seen this title.
