Bedford Autodrome trackday 28/09/26 with track obsession.
This was my first stint, getting the brakes bedded in again (glazed from road use) and getting the tyres up to temp to check pressures.
Car performed reasonably well, but had some minor issues especially in the afternoon which ate into my track time. You can hear that I still haven't sorted the exhaust rubbing, but I have replaced the rear left caliper, which by the end of the day had seized already. I drove 2 hours home with a battery light on the dash so we have some electrical gremlins to chase now, most likely the positive battery terminal is the cause. It's the first trackday since the cams being fitted and few other minor things fixed so I took my time getting up to speed and didn't push hard straight away. The car felt great, although I struggled to really get any good laps in without interruption and every time I got into a good flow in the afternoon something would get in the way, either the chequered flag for lunch, a red flag or an warning light for the battery. Lots of traffic as well which didn't make it easy. I did get one good stint at the end of the day for the last 20 minutes of the track being open, and stupidly managed to forget to record it. Most likely because of the red flag that happened just before it. Still a fun day and always good to be on track!
