Dixie Valley, Nevada

Dixie Valley, Nevada, is an established geothermal region associated with the Stillwater Fault system and documented geothermal fluid and volatile-gas activity. Previous geochemical investigations have demonstrated anomalous carbon dioxide flux within the Dixie Valley geothermal field. The surrounding Churchill County healthcare system provides a potential epidemiological endpoint through which temporal patterns in emergency department utilization can be examined.
