I got this cube from winning Qiyi's lucky draw giveaway. Qiyi never called this cube a v2, but they have an older budget 8x8-11x11 series with the purplish-red and pale blue colour scheme, and a newer flagship, ball-core magnetic series, also 8x8-11x11, which is the series this cube is from.
