I start my journey in Tapovan, Rishikesh staying at Blue Jay Hostel, with a new friend and we head out on a scooty ride to experience the vibrant side of Rishikesh. Our first stop is 12 Monks Cafe for an open mic night, surrounded by travelers, live performances and cozy Tapovan vibes. Later, we unwind at Tapovan Ghat, listening to a live music artist playing by the Ganga under the night sky, capturing the peaceful, spiritual atmosphere Rishikesh is famous for. We then cross Bajrang Jhula towards the bustling market area, enjoy riverside views and end the day with a relaxed dinner at the popular Little Buddha Cafe near Lakshman Jhula, known for its serene ambience and Ganga views. Even though my knee is sprained and hurting throughout the day, I still manage to explore cafes, ghats and streets, before we ride back to Blue Jay Hostel on the scooty and crash into our beds after a long, wholesome day.
