Night Riding Test – Magicshine HORI 1300S Review | Training After Dark

Have you ever felt like you’re letting yourself down if you don’t stick to your routine? That’s how I felt when daylight savings hit. Suddenly all my training rides were pushed into darkness — and the only way to stay consistent was to embrace night riding. That question hit me hard when daylight savings ended. Suddenly, the sun was gone by 5pm, and all my training time shifted into complete darkness. Instead of quitting or forcing miserable early-morning cold rides, I leaned into night riding — and it changed everything. This video starts with that moment, then takes you straight into real, unfiltered night riding footage. Gravel, urban, mixed surface — exactly the type of terrain many cyclists avoid after dark. But when your mind is clear after a long day and your body is used to training later in the evening, night riding becomes a powerful tool for staying consistent. And to ride safely after dark, you need a light system you can trust. Not specs. Not studio demos. Real performance in real darkness. That’s why I’ve been testing the Magicshine HORI 1300S for weeks. Not just on pavement, but on deep gravel, rough surfaces, high vibration sections, and completely blacked-out stretches where the light is the only thing keeping you upright. What stands out in real-world use: Clean, wide beam pattern Excellent throw for both gravel and road Strong side visibility Stable mount (even on washboard gravel) Solid runtime + USB-C High-quality optics for the price A true value light — especially for training after dark If you train after work, commute year-round, or just enjoy the peace of evening riding, night cycling can become one of the best parts of your day — and having the right light makes all the difference. 🔥 Magicshine Black Friday Deal: 👉 **https://www.amazon.com/d
