Agniveer Tenure Increase From 4 Years to 8 Years: The Agnipath scheme was launched in 2022, under which young people are being recruited into the country's three armed forces—the Army, Navy, and Air Force—for a period of four years. These young people are called "Agniveers." Now, the first batch of Agniveers under this scheme is set to complete their service in 2026, but the government is considering making some changes to the scheme.
