Oil Painting Transformation Process

Here is the video process of painting "Soul Pull", oil on canvas by me, Wasso. This footage is from three years of learning how to oil paint in order to complete this project! It is what started my entire art journey, as I did not know how to paint when I started. What you will notice as the video progresses, is that I did not know the final direction it would take until it built up layer by layer by small decisions. It took 3 years and many other paintings in between to be able to find the courage and knowledge to finish this piece. "Soul Pull" is also close to my heart and soul, as I dedicated this painting to my late mother, Deborah. She was the kindest person I've ever known and changed the lives of thousands of special needs children. She passed not long before I learned how to paint. This is my first completed oil painting, I hope you enjoy!
