Above the Fjords - Loen Skylift , The Ultimate Experience | Olden Port Day | Sky Princess

Port day at Olden: We had a great Norwegian Fjords cruise with Sky Princess, to the Land of the Midnight Sun & Summer Solstice. In this video we share our port day tour from Olden to Loen. We had an Early (and very tasty) breakfast at International Café. After breakfast we went off the ship to the port, which is in the middle of Olden. You can find great excursions options just outside of the port, like the Glacier Sightseeing and Loen Skylift. The "Norway Excursions Olden" office is on the port and it was very easy to book tickets to the excursion. We decided to go to Loen Skylift. The tickets include shuttle bus to the site - 10 minutes drive from the port. Loen Skylift is one of the steepest cable cars in the world and lifts you a thousand meters almost straight up. The ride takes 5-7 minutes each way and the view along the way is amazing. There are many viewpoints and hiking trails up the mountain. We really enjoyed watching lake Lovatnet, Loen, Olden and Nordfjord (Nordfjorden) - the scenery is amazing! No matter where you are on the mountain, you will enjoy an amazing scenery. The hiking trails are disability friendly and wheelchair accessible. It is very easy and convenient to hike up there. Later we went down by the cable car and go back to the ship by the shuttle bus. We ate at the World Fresh Marketplace - Sky Princess Buffet, then enjoyed Margarita and Pina Colada at the SeaViewBar - Deck 16, Coffee and desserts at International Cafe and Espresso Martini at Bellini's Bar - Deck 5, while the ship is sailing away from Olden. We went back to Lido Deck (16) to enjoy the amazing scenery of Nordfjord. Tasty Dinner at Soleil Dining Room and we ended our day at the Piazza, enjoying the amazing Princess World Orchestra Show.
