Illinois Railway Museum: Diesel Days 2026

I have returned to the IRM once again to attend the 2026 Diesel Days event! Although on my previous attendance the event had theming for each day, this year they went back to it being a random selection of diesels in the collection, but that didn't make it any less exciting! In addition, a new feature for this year was having the CNW Bi-Level train make stops at various parts of the line, including a new photo-opportunity at Jewell, which is roughly half-way between East Union and Seeman Road. Diesels you will see in action here include ATSF 92, BNSF 9400, all of the CNW diesels in the collection, Amtrak 231, Maersk 6976, and many others!
