This edit is for educational & research purposes only. Ownership of its contents belong to their respective copyright holders, one of many being SEGA & Marza Animation Planet Inc. v MORE INFO v Motivation for this edit ================== Visual and audio cues? When? Why? With only the BGM and visuals, we'll have an easier time studying this work of art ~~ or admire it, without the SFX shattering your eardrums. Many details in the BGM are difficult to hear otherwise. How I made this edit ================== The visuals are ripped straight from the Xbox 360 version losslessly by yours truly. The music is taken directly from the original soundtrack rather than the game, due to a preference towards audio quality. Both video and audio are kept as original as can be while taking measures to avoid YouTube compression. All pieces are assembled manually using FFMPEG. Here are the assembly steps I took: (Since both the first and second part are merged in the OST, extract part 1) ~~~ _ffmpeg -ss 00:00:00.300 -i input.flac -to 00:02:42 output.flac _ (Also extract part 2 separately for timing later on) ~~~ _ffmpeg -ss 2:42 -i input.flac output.flac _ -- (Merge 1st portion of the score with the cinematic) ~~~ ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -i audio1.flac -c copy output.mp4 -- (Append 2nd portion of the score to the cinematic manually) ~~~ ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -i audio2.flac -filter_complex "[1]adelay=165300|165300[aud];[0][aud]amix" -c:v copy -acodec flac output.mp4 -- (Scale to at least 1440p, to enable YouTube's vp9 codec and avoid visual artifacts) ~~~ ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf scale=-2:1440,setsar=1:1 -c:a copy output.mp4 It's worth noting that the latter step does not increase quality for the visuals, but only forces YouTube to enable a higher-quality codec, thus appearing without any artifacts caused by the H.264 codec for 1080p and lower. AUDIO: 771kbps FLAC, 44.100khz, 16bit, Sampled from OST. VIDEO: 11381kbps MP4, 3438x1440, Xbox 360 Game-rip.
