Happy Halloween! 🎃 Zelda’s shadow dungeons have given us some of the creepiest moments in the series. From haunted mansions and cursed temples to whatever was going on at the bottom of Kakariko’s well, there’s plenty to choose from. But which ones are actually the best? In this video, we're ranking EVERY dark, shadow, and horror-themed dungeon in The Legend of Zelda series from worst to best! We'll be looking at dungeon design, puzzles, atmosphere, bosses, and the overall experience. This is a ranking of how GOOD these dungeons are not just how scary they are! To qualify, ghosts, curses, undead enemies, unsettling imagery, or literal darkness need to be a MAJOR part of the dungeon. Some overlap with other themes is fair game, but one creepy boss or a short spooky section isn't enough!
