Full HQ cassette rip of the 5th demo tape by Japanese Visual-Kei Punk band かまいたち (KAMAITACHI). It was distributed at just one concert in 1989, and was limited to only 50 copies! The following year, the band became major in Japan and became an important part of the very early Visual-Kei scene that had quite a big influence. かまいたち (KAMAITACHI) formed in 1985 as a "normal" punk band as visual-kei didn't exist yet, but they were in the category of "makeup style" bands, which would become visual-kei. They released 5 demo tapes inbetween 1985-1989, all of which are not only extremely rare, but also heavily bootlegged, making original, genuine copies basically impossible to find. In 1989 they were one of the first bands to get signed to the now-legendary Free-Will record label that was founded by DYNAMITE TOMMY, and released an album. Then they got picked up by a major record label for a super short time until their disbandment in 1991. My favourite song by them is "I LOVE YOU" which was one of the major-era singles. They have crazy haircuts, even for visual-kei standards, (sometimes) offensive/provocative lyrics, and unforgiving, raw, energetic punk music. It's quite trashy which I love. The drummer, KENchan has joined other legendary bands after KAMAITACHI and is still an active legend today. Obviously, their CD's and major-era stuff is objectively better than this demo tape, which is of extremely low recording quality, only has three songs and a lot of talking, etc... So if you don't like this, please give stuff like "I LOVE YOU" (song) and their albums a chance, it's worth it and you'll see why they're so beloved in Japan and by many later Visual-Kei musicians. But personally, I like the demo tapes as much as the CD's!!! Some songs even better, and the extra-raw energy on them is appealing too. I'm uploading this one for archiving purposes, because, remember that I said that getting a genuine, original copy of their demo tapes is basically impossible? Well, I got most of them, all original/genuine, HAHAHA! Including this one, which is faked sooo often... I got my genuine copy, which you can hear here, from the legendary record store FLOWER RECORD from Japan. (I never went to Japan, I e-mailed him hahaha). But the price was in the range of one the most expensive tapes I've ever bought... worth it! PS: I know there's an extreme amount of noise on it... Do you believe me that the original tape has even more noise? Even with severe denoising, there's still so much... It was horribly recorded and poorly dubbed to begin with! If I would have denoised more, all of the audio quality would have been even worse and would get super muffled. I think I striked the perfect balance in my remaster/restoration. A ton of this music only released on cassettes and VHS tapes in the 90s, and never got officially published digitally, and tapes degrade over time, so it is important to properly digitise and carefully archive these unique parts musical history with the best equipment possible, so that they don't get lost forever. It is run by "A Certain Flower Prince". THANX, XOXO
