Sega Saturn – Mr Bones (1998, Japan) [4K Upscale]

A pair of strange adverts for a game called "Mr Bones" on the Sega Saturn, courtesy of Japan. Like most Japanese commercials, this one is no exception to being overtly weird and gratuitously disturbing. Both commercials feature plastic human dummies, absent of any skeletal rigidity which probably relates to the fact they're advertising for a game about a skeleton – who also happens to play an electric guitar, apparently. In the first one, a dummy sits flaccidly in an apartment in front of a TV. In the second, a real woman poses to a camera with a dummy "twin" of herself. The end tagline reads "骨 で 遊べ" ("Play by bones"). I'm therefore assuming that the dummies are meant to represent some kind of player that lost their bones from playing a game about a skeleton, or something like that? Yeah, I have no clue either.
