What Is a Spellblade? | Who Are the Spellbinders in Monsters & Memories? Episode 2

What does it really mean to be a Spellblade in Monsters & Memories? In Episode 2 of Who Are the Spellbinders?, a three-part Monsters & Memories series, I'm exploring one of the game's most interesting classes: the Spellblade, a magical duelist who combines swordplay, sorcery, teleportation, and battlefield control. I love playing the Spellblade. Its combat mechanics are engaging, its abilities work together beautifully, and its Infusion and Conduit system is particularly well designed. But unlike the Inquisitor, I'm not convinced the Spellblade has an equally clear thematic identity. In this video, I'll examine the official Spellblade class description, its class abilities and spells, and the Night Harbor starter quest involving Master Njau Hansou and the mysterious Spellbinders of the Spire. I'll also explore the Spellblade's relationship with the Wizard and offer my own interpretation of how its abilities and magical traditions might work together to create a more distinctive class fantasy.
