How to Replace Maschine Pads, Sensor Sheet & Sensitivity Pad Corx/Corks    • Видео   Hey guys today I’m just doing a quick tutorial on how to change out the pads on your Maschine mk1. I replaced mine with the mpc thick fat pads that I got from mpcstuff.com I tried to keep the tutorial under 3 minutes. A lot of the other videos I saw were like 7 minutes even up to 15 minutes. So if you have any questions or concerns and you’re trying to switch out your pads I’ll be willing to help in any way I can. Lets get to it. These are the new pads and these are the old ones. The first thing you are gonna want to do is take off all the knobs, there’s about 11 of them. They’re really easy to take off. They just slide right off. And then you are going to turn your Maschine around and lay it down on something soft like a pillow. That way it doesn’t mess up the knobs. And make sure you ground yourself. Then you are going to take off these 12 black screws. You’re going to have to poke a hole right here for the last one. The back cover just slides right off. Then you are going to take off these 30 silver screws. You want to push this plastic part away from the usb port to get it out. You kind of have to shimmy it out of there a little bit. The board just kind of comes right off. So here’s the sensor sheet. The ridges side of the sensor sheet is going to face you and the smooth side of the sensor sheet is up against the pads. You can’t really see the ridges of the sensor sheet, but you can feel it. Now we’re going to apply the sensitivity corx to the smooth side of the sensor sheet. It doesn’t have to be perfectly lined up with the square either, just do it as best as you can. Then you are going to slide the pads right in and make sure they are nice and snug and lined up with the holes. That diagonal slice is kind of like a safety precaution because you can’t put it any other way, it has to go that way. Make sure these two sticks are protruding through the two small holes. Then you want to put the sensor sheet back on after you’ve applied all the pad corks. Make sure the ridges side of the sensor sheet is facing you and the smooth side of the sensor sheet is touching the pads. Then you are going to want to grab your sensor board, put it on and line it up with all the holes. Then it’s time to put those 30 silver screws back on. When you put them back on I wouldn’t recommend using a power tool, just because you can overtighten it and damage the board. So I would just use like a Philips screwdriver. There’s also a picture next to each location that deserves a screw. You can see that in the bottom right. Then you are going to want to grab the backplate and put it right on and line it up correctly. Then you’re gonna put those 12 screws back on. Every so often you are gonna want to turn over your Maschine to make sure that the buttons and pads are protruding through the holes. You want to tighten them all the way. That’s pretty much it. As you can see all the buttons and pads are protruding through the holes so lets connect it, lets see how it works. The pads now are much more sensitive and evenly responsive.
