JAP Model 3 Restoration - Part 1 -

Restoring a small, air cooled stationary engine from the 1940's. Bought for the grand sum of £10 at the Kingsfold Rally, this engine was seized solid, missing parts and obviously hasn't run in many years. This video focuses on repairing the magneto, assessing condition of components now the engine has been stripped down and removing the valve guides from the cylinder head. Work so far has included unseizing the piston, removing cylinder, valves, splitting the crankcase halves, unseizing and removing piston rings.
